Work Environment Measurement (WEM) means sampling and analysis carried out in respect of the atmospheric work environment and other fundamental elements of working environment for the purpose of determining the actual conditions thereof.
This is an engineering and technical service requested by companies to evaluate the levels of worker's exposures from various physical and chemical hazards emitting from workplace operations or processes and recommend appropriate control measures for the improvement of the working environment.
Our technical engineers use TOP-OF-THE-LINE equipment which are compliant with international specifications and up-to-date calibration to ensure accuracy for a reliable measurement.
As stated in Rule 1077 of the OSH Standards, the employer SHALL carry out the working environment measurement in indoor or other workplaces where hazardous work is performed and shall keep a record of such measurement, which shall be made available to the enforcing authority. The working environment measurement SHALL be performed periodically as may be necessary but not longer than annually. Establishments SHALL only seek WEM services from accredited WEM Providers. Otherwise, the WEM shall not be regarded as compliant with Rule 1077 (Working Environment Measurement) of the OSH standards.
